‘Tis the season to be thankful. Last night we hosted a wine tasting dinner complete with six courses paired with six wines plus dessert and champagne. Everyone guessed what wines they were drinking and the winner left with a gift! But the best gift of all was the attitude of servanthood and giving because the real purpose of the dinner last night was to collect donations for a shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children. Without saying why, I will say that this center is very important to me and my husband. Last night as our friends arrived and I watched bag upon bag and box upon box of donations being unloaded and heaped into our house...I was just speechless. Yes, the dinner was superb. But the people who surrounded our table and their hearts....way better, y’all.
