Nothing makes my Okie heart more proud than seeing my city continue to grow and thrive. I’ve been living in Oklahoma for 13 years and in that time, OKC has exploded in growth, both in population and in business. Our food scene has gotten nationwide attention, we’ve seen our beloved Thunder carry us to victory time and again, we’ve pursued and landed several contracts and in recent years have started bringing some big hitters into town. One such big hitter is Omni Hotels & Resorts. While we have a few local (and luxurious) boutique hotels downtown and have added larger chains such as Aloft, Ambassador and 21C, the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel stands out as a hospitality chain giant known for luxury, comfort and unique amenities.

I had the pleasure and the honor of being hosted by our new Omni OKC so that I could share the inside scoop with followers of Down in the Hollow. And let me tell you, I just could not recommend the Omni OKC Hotel any higher! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt transported to a much larger city. You’re welcomed by a roaring fire about a mile long in a gloriously beautiful lobby, complete with a stylish lobby bar that’s just begging you to come order a dirty martini or glass of wine (which I happily did and enjoyed a nice glass of Decoy Merlot – a favorite).
(I have partnered with Omni Oklahoma City Hotel for this post. All opinions are my own.)

After I checked in, I went straight up to my guest room on the 17th floor to unpack and get freshened up. For the full room tour, you can head to my IG, I made a highlight of my whole time at the Omni OKC! The room was so beautifully designed; bright, airy, sleek bathroom, all of the amenities you would want or need, a cozy sitting area, massive picture windows overlooking Scissortail Park and the pool deck below, etc. I felt right at home!

Walking around and exploring the hotel was such an adventure. There were details everywhere I looked and so much to take in. With four restaurants, a coffee shop, a boutique boasting local items, a bar, a spa, a third floor rooftop pool, fitness center and more…there was plenty to explore.
My husband and I enjoyed dinner at the OKC Tap House, a two story sports-lovers dream with a gigantic screen playing the big game, a full service and bustling bar and after the game…live country music. I got the Thunder pretzel and sticky ribs…a meal I’m eager to repeat because it was delicious.

And perhaps my favorite bit of staying at a great hotel is that visit to the coffee shop in the morning. I like a good in-room coffee, which is certainly available at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel, but there’s just nothing like that smell of freshly ground coffee or espresso beans. The Park Grounds coffee shop in the Omni OKC is a great spot for hotel guests and downtown commuters alike.

I can’t wait to watch the Omni OKC enjoy massive success. I know it will become a destination spot for vacationers as well as staycationers. And it is an absolutely perfect addition to the city I love so much!
