Hello and happy February first!
We’ve officially entered into Valentine’s territory and so I thought it would be fun to bring you two different looks! I wanted to put together something a little unexpected with a fun printed jumpsuit paired with pops of red and then a look that exceeds expectations so I chose an incredible champagne colored maxi dress. And would you believe me if I told you the dress was $35.99? Yeah, I was just as shocked as you.
For Valentine’s Day, my husband and I decided to go do a little shopping together to pick out some new treats and then we’re going to cook dinner at home together. This look would be perfect for such a laid-back evening and I can’t wait to put it back on again for some shopping and cooking with my forever Valentine.

On Saturday, the day after Valentine’s Day, my husband and I have much fancier plans. We booked dinner reservations at a new restaurant in Oklahoma City called Grey Sweater where Chef Andrew Black prepares prix fixe tasting menus and we hear it is culinary genius so we’re really excited. Since we’re getting a little ritzy for this, I bought this dress for the occasion and I’m so excited to wear it out!

Something else I wanted to create with these looks was ideas that could be recycled for other things as well. For instance, you could get a sweater with big hearts all over it, but are you really likely to wear that again outside of Valentine’s day? Probably not. This snake print jumpsuit can be worn a multitude of ways in basically any season and is not Valentine’s specific although it makes such a cute and unexpected outfit for that purpose as well. And the dress? Well it’s pink and it’s fancy but I can think of a hundred other places and reasons to wear it. I love a good multi-use piece of clothing and I love having them for years and mixing things up. All of the things I’ve linked here are exactly that!
