If you’re an OG Down in the Hollow follower, you know that I think the kitchen is the heart of the home. And I love sharing things I’m cooking up in my kitchen for my family or for gatherings with friends. When I started sharing cooking and recipe content, I didn’t know how it would go over, but there’s been so much engagement and interaction! I’m loving it! Because of that, I thought I’d share some pretty solid cookbooks that you definitely need on your kitchen shelves (or wherever you keep cookbooks ha).
Every Monday I do a Monday Meal Plan on Instagram Stories, which I save on a Meal Plan highlight on my profile. I’ve had SO many followers reach out and ask for recipes to what they see on these meal plans. Originally, I started doing meal plan lists to give some inspiration for your next trip to the grocery store if you’re blanking on what to make for dinner. I didn’t think it would catch on like it has and that y’all would actually want the recipes and I can’t tell you how happy it makes me that y’all have really engaged over these. While I do get a lot of dinner recipes from Pinterest, if you’ve seen my “Itchin’ To Show You My Kitchin” blog post (link here: https://downinthehollow.com/2019/08/01/itchin-to-show-you-my-kitchen/) then you know I have a massive cookbook collection. When I’m putting together my meal plan lists, I consult a mix of Pinterest inspiration and also pull cookbooks off the shelves to pour over. So I had such a fun time putting together this list for you all to grab some serious cooking inspo and all at extremely good prices!
So far I’ve only shared a recipe for peach thyme lemonade and some marinated olives, but as this blog takes off I will continue to share cooking/baking/hosting/cocktails/etc content. Thank you all so much for sharing in this with me and please let me know in the comments if there’s anything specifically you’d like to see!
